About Blue Fern

Most Service Businesses Have a Website.
Far Fewer Have One That Actually Works.

Yours should be doing the heavy lifting. It should be attracting the right clients, communicating your value clearly, and giving visitors a reason to get in touch.

If it isn't, something in the story is getting lost.
Customers are drawn to clarity and avoid confusion.

A Note From Emily

I'm Emily, founder of Blue Fern Consult.

I started Blue Fern because I kept seeing the same thing: brilliant, committed business owners losing out to competitors simply because their website didn't reflect the quality of what they did. The work was great, but the website just didn't show it and in the eyes of a potential client, that gap matters.

I wanted to fix that. Not just with better design, but with clarity. The kind that comes from understanding who you're talking to, what they need to hear, and how to say it.

What Makes Blue Fern Different -

Every Blue Fern project brings together three things that are usually sold separately: brand strategy, story-led copywriting, and Squarespace web design. I blend creative, sleek and contemporary design with sharp copy and marketing-focused functionality.

This creates a site that doesn't just look good, but says the right thing to the right person, and guides them towards working with you.

I help service-based businesses who are ready for a website that does more than exist.

Clients come to me knowing something isn't working, but not always sure what. They leave with a website they're proud to send to prospects, a clear message they can use across every channel, and the confidence that their online presence is finally pulling its weight.

Whether you're starting fresh or overdue for a refresh, the process is clear and the result is a site you'll actually want to share.

If you're ready to have a website that works as hard as you do, let's talk.
A short, informal call is the best place to start.

My Office Space
@villagecoworking

Modern office space with white desks, black chairs, and black pendant lights. Potted plants decorate the room, and windows provide natural light.
Minimalist dining room with a wooden table, woven chairs, and green cushioned bench. A wicker pendant light hangs overhead. A potted plant sits on the table, flanked by a woven basket with a plant. The room has a light patterned rug and paneled white walls with three wall sconce lights.
Modern living room with a spiral staircase, beige couch, light wooden floor, and dining area with a table and chairs. Two large windows allow natural light to illuminate the space, and a floor lamp is near the couch.

Client Feedback

“Before the project started, I felt overwhelmed with running my website and marketing - I didn’t know how to move forward.

Emily quickly identified a plan to create a website that would support my business, and one that works! I have been delighted with the service provided, thank you.”
